ORYN is a Malaysia homegrown skincare brand that focus on a range of skincare products that is based from Orange and Vitamin C. As we all know, Vitamin C is touted as one of the best anti-aging ingredients in the market. It is known for its hydrating and brightening properties, and is effective in helping to heal blemishes, reduce hyperpigmentation and even out your skin tone. 

Vitamin C is one of my favorite ingredients in skincare, so when ORYN contacted me to write a review for their products that are formulated with Vitamin C, I am naturally excited to try them out.

The ORYN Hydrabright Cleanser is formulated to help clean, hydrate, and brighten up your skin.  It is formulated using a low foam formulation that is extremely gentle on skin, making it suitable for sensitive skin. The product claims to give the skin a perfect clean feel without over drying it or leaving it feeling tight.

Other than Vitamin C, this product also contains various ingredients that are good for the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid + Panthenol - Helps to moisturize and prevents your skin from over dry or breakout.

Niacinamide - Helps visibly reduce enlarged pores, acne problems and treat damaged skin.

Pentavitin + Sweet Almond Oil - Helps to moisturize and prevents your skin from being over dry or breakout.

The cleanser comes in a small amber pump bottle containing 50 ml of the product. It is very easy to use, but might not be travel friendly because it does not come with a lid stopper to prevent leakage. Personally, I feel that 50 ml is quite small and it probably would not last for a month. 

The cleanser has a fresh orangey scent that can instantly wakes you up when you use it in the morning. I like that the smell is not overpowering or artificial, which helps to refresh my body and mind. 

The cleanser has a gel creamy texture with minimize foam and feels very gentle on the skin. My skin feels comfortably clean without any tightness or dryness after using it. Unlike most other facial cleansers, this does not produce much foam or any bubble when I was massaging this on my skin. I think it also helps to reduce oil secretion on my skin throughout the day. 

Wet your face and apply 1/2 to 1 pump of the cleanser to your skin. Massage it gently on your skin in circular motion and rinse with water. 

This is a very mild facial cleanser that is suitable for people with dry skin. It does not strip off the moisture or irritates the skin. For people with combination or oily skin, this will leave you with a perfect clean skin. 

Other than Vitamin C, it also contains:

ORYN claims that this is a non-greasy and lightweight moisturizer that provides longer hydration and restores moisture in your skin. It fatten away the appearance of dry lines and reduce oil secretion for a supple and refreshed skin with soft after feel. 

To be honest, I was quite worried that when I saw that the product is creamy white in color. The texture of the moisturizer is pretty thick, especially for people with combination skin like me.. Although it can be spread easily on the skin, it leaves a sticky and greasy feel after application, which can be a little uncomfortable. The stickiness will go away after the product is fully absorbed by the skin, but that can actually takes a while.

I use this as my night time moisturizer after a toner. A pea-size of it is enough to make my skin feels supple and moisturized when I wake up the next morning. However, it does not help to control oil secretion during the day. Despite that, I am glad that my skin didn't breakout once throughout the one month I was using it. 

I am not sure about the anti-wrinkling part, but this product actually helps to brighten and reduce the appearance of acne scars on my skin. Well, it doesn't make them disappear at once, but just lighten them.

 

After cleansing, dab some moisturizer onto specific parts of your face and spread it around the rest of your face. Allow the moisturizer to dry before apply makeup. 

I think people with normal or dry skin will absolutely love this product. But for people with combination or oily skin like me (especially those who live in a hot and humid country) might find this product a bit too too heavy and nourishing. I personally would not use this as a day time moisturizer because it is really too heavy for my combination skin. 

Other than Vitamin C, this product also contains,

Salicylic Acid - Helps to treat acne, blackheads and whiteheads. It is also effective in treating acne problems.

Aloe Vera Extract - Helps to soothe and calm irritation and itchiness on sensitive skin

Zinc Extract - Helps to control sebum production & Minimize the appearance of pores

The Clear Gel comes in an amber glass dropper bottle containing 10 ml of the product. The dropper bottle is sturdy and easy to use, which allows precise and hygienic dosage. The flexible dropper enables me to gently squeeze out the right amount of product I want without having to worry about contaminating the rest of the product.

Unlike the Hydrabright Cleanser and Hydrabright Moisturizer, the Clear Gel does not really have a distinct scent.

I am not sure about the pores reducing claim, but it helps to reduce the appearance of my blackheads and whiteheads. My acne scars have also lighten, but they did not disappear completely. Well, I guess I probably have to keep using this for an extended period of time in order to see the actual results. 

I seldom have acne on my face, but I have tried applying this gel on that specific area when I got one. It helps to shrink the acne, but it is not as effective as acne creams.
