[Malaysia] How To Change Name / IC / Passport Number in MySejahtera

** Please note that this method will not work for people who wanted to update their new passport number due to change of passport. Changing your passport number will cause you to lose your vaccination certificate. 
3. Click on Option C "I want to update my Name, IC/Passport, USER ID or delete my account.
4. Click on Option A " I want to update my name & IC
5. Key in your MySejahtera User ID and click "Next".
After submitting my request in MySejahtera, I received a mail from their helpdesk a few hours later, informing me they will revert my profile to the editing stage that will allow me to edit my details. However, I was still unable to edit my passport number even though it was mentioned in the email that "my profile has already been reverted to the editing stage". I was only able to edit my profile on the next day, about 24 hours later. 
7. To edit your name, IC/Passport Number, follow the steps in the email. Go to the "COVID-19 Vaccination icon" on the homepage and click Vaccine for <your name>. You should be able to edit your profile. After you are done, click "Confirm".
After confirming, my passport number in the app has been updated to the correct one. However, my vaccination appointment which I have already confirmed has disappeared completely. My timeline has been changed back to the "assessment stage". I have tried contacting MySejahtera Helpdesk but did not receive any response from them. After calling the Vaccination helpline, I was told that I have to cancel the appointment because I will not be able to be vaccinated if I do not have the link in MySehahtera.
In order to change your Name or IC/ Passport Number in MySejahtera, you may follow the steps below.
1. Open the MySejahtera app on your phone and click on Helpdesk
2. Click on "Start" to continue.
6. Key in your email address and click "Submit"
Well, it is pretty frustrating, but it is my partly my own fault for not checking my details properly during registration. Now, I could only wait for MySejahtera to send me a new appointment date, which no one knows when. Even the staff at the Vaccine center told me that they do not know because all of these are done by the system. So, I could only hope that it will be soon.
**UPDATE
MySejahtera had sent me another vaccine appointment a week after the cancellation. To be honest, I am pretty surprised by its efficiency. Hopefully the rest of you will also receive yours soon.

ReplyDeleteIf your name is not correct, I heard that you will not allowed to be vaccinated. But it seemed that the staff at the health facility didn't check it thoroughly. If you update your name and passport number, I afraid that the vaccination timeline will disappear. But if you don't, your records might not be updated in Mysejahtera after you got your second dose. I would suggest that you call the vaccine hotline to check what you should do about this.

DeleteThank you so much for this useful information! I felt so panicked when I realized my name was not the same as my IC.. I think it was because the blanks they provided was "first name" and "last name" and I didn't know we had to include our full name there... 😵 Btw do you by any chance know if the appointment will appear as 1st dose or 2nd dose if I already had my first dose but had to change my name?

According to MySejahtera, your vaccination timeline will be updated once you have verified name and I/C. But I am not very sure about that. I would suggest that you go for your second dose first before changing your name just in case the record disappear from your Mysejahtera. But you might want to call the vaccine hotline to check whether you are allowed to do that.

The edit option should apppear 24 hours to 26 hours.
DeleteThe edit mode should appear a day after you received the email. Check the next day again.

DeleteI have a bigger problem. I had both jabs and received my vaccine certificate.I then updated my passport number coz the old passport expired. So now mysejahtera has updated my passport but my vaccine certs are gone… I’m so depressed now. I emailed them but no one replied.
ReplyDeleteSorry, i am sure what you can do. It will take the helpdesk some time to reply you. I received reply from them after 2 weeks! Or maybe you can try calling the vaccine hotline to ask about it.

DeleteHey there! Same issue here (replaced old passport number with the new renewed one) and my vaccine certs disappeared too :(((( I've emailed the help desk and no reply yet. Good thing we have our physical vaccine cards, in the meantime. Let's cross our fingers and hope the vaccine certs will resurface soon.

DeleteSame here. And the mysejahtera hotline number is not working anymore, the automated machine will give you all new numbers to call but couldn't ever get thru.

ReplyDeleteAfter you submit the request in the helpdesk, wait for their email. You should be able to edit your details after a day.

DeleteHi. Thanks for the info. I am facing the same issue as urs, wrong IC number. Gotten my appt yesterday night and immediately call up the vaksin hotline but the lady can't help in anything. So I went to help desk to request for update. Still can't update my IC as of now. My appt is this coming Saturday, so I won't be able to go for this appointment in this case? I have to wait for a week after updating my correct IC number?

ReplyDeleteInitially I thought I can use the helpdesk on my phone to update the name and IC number of my cousin. After I key in my cousin MYSJ ID, the next page it appears my own MYSJ ID (not my cousin), I didn’t proceed with submitting the email, because I scare it will change my existing status. I just received my appointment today. Do you think will it affect my own status if I didn’t submit the email?

My cousin told me it's important and keep asking me to change it from Evelyn Yap to EVELYN YAP.
It doesn't need to be in full capital letter as long as your name is correct

DeleteSame Issue here..after updating new passport number, "full vaccinated" status changed to "not vaccinated". Send mail to Help desk..waiting for the reply. Luckily i saved my certificate in phone...

DeleteMy digital certificate duly issued after both jabs. However, my name in the pdf digital cert is incorrect. I have called the mysejahtera helpdesk, cprc, been to pusat Kesihatan Daerahs and wrote to Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri to correct the error. So far the error could not be corrected. They said they don't have the access to the mysejahtera system. Any one has successfully have errors rectifie in the pdf cert for international travel? Please share and "tunjuk ajar". Thanks.

ReplyDeletesame case happened with me ,i got worried as Mysejatra was showing me as not vaccinated . Could not enter many places for this issue . Finally i have changed mysejatra again on my old IC number and all vaccination information came back .

Basically what you have will have to do is going to helpdesk to register your vaccination detail with your new passport ID.
DeleteYou can go to helpdesk and select "K I have been vaccinated but my digital certificate is missing", provided relevant document (ie vaccination card, certification, ID, etc).
Same thing happened to me and I used above method. At the same time I changed my passport number back to the old one so I can move around with vaccination detail in MYSJ (it would come back once you change back to old passport number). After 2 weeks, I received an email saying that they have verified my vaccination details and updated it in MYSJ. I again changed back to my new passport number and saw the vaccination details updated in MYSJ. The only thing not updated is my boost shot information which I took outside of Malaysia. I again go to helpdesk selected "L I have received my vaccination overseas and would like to obtain my digital certificate in MySejahtera". Supposedly they should update it back to MYSJ once it's reviewed. Hope this will help.

PDF format is showed my old passport number, but my old passport number is incorrect. My Old passport number is P3429804, but system shows P3420804. Because I am worried about this.
