Clear skin starts with clear pores. Infused with an unique blend of natural ingredients, Medicube Zero Pore Pad is a single use pore tightening exfoliating pad that claims to exfoliate dead skin cells, regulate sebum and tighten pores while hydrating skin at the same time.

Medicube is the number 1 dermocosmetics brand in Korea. Dermocosmetics is where cosmetics and dermatology comes together. All their products are clinically proven to work on various skin concerns. The Zero Pore Pad is known to be one of Medicube's best selling product.

I have never heard of Medicube before. However, I bought this because I kept seeing the ads for this product popping out on my Facebook newsfeed. So, I just got curious and decided to try it out. For those who are interested, you can get this product from Shopee or Lazada.

Packaging

The product comes in a simple frosted plastic jar with a silver screw on lid that is packed in a white cardboard box. The packaging is a little heavy and bulky, but very sturdy. It is not actually very travel-friendly unless you transfer the pads to a smaller container.

The jar comes with a seal. All you have to do is to twist off the lid, remove the seal and then close the lid back.

Inside the jar, there are 70 sheets of pore pads soaked in plenty of toning solution. The pre-soaked pads are great for travelling as they were pretty convenient to bring around. I like that the toner pads are decently size, so it is easy to hold it in my hand. But make sure you remember close the lid back tightly after using to avoid the pads from drying out

Smell

The toner pads have a refreshing medicinal lemonade scent that I like. The scent was nothing overpowering and does not linger on my face after use.

The Medicube Zero Pore Pad is a dual textured toner pad. One side of the cotton pad is embossed (bumpy) and the other side is silky smooth. The embossed side helps to exfoliate dead skin, remove excess sebum and impurities while the silky side moisturize skin, manage skin texture and smooth skin.

One pad is enough for my entire face as it is soaked in a lot of solution. My skin actually reacted to it well after continuous use. It has helped to clean off a lot of excess dirt that was left on my face after cleansing. My skin feels cleaner, smoother and looks brighter every time after use. I feel that it does help to reduce blackheads (but not deep rooted ones) and prevent new ones from forming. I could not say much about the pore tightening claim. However, my pores appeared a little reduced after using it for a week or so.

I think it also helps to treat acnes to a certain extent. Although I do not have much acne problems, I do get occasional hormonal breakouts every month. After using this product, I have noticed that most of my smaller pimples disappear faster and recovered quickly than before. I also have lesser acne breakouts from wearing facial mask.

To be honest, both side does not really make a difference to me. However, the embossed side can be a little harsh on skin if you rub it too hard on your skin. Other than that, it does not cause any irritation or a tight feeling after use. I also like that it does not leave my face feeling sticky or greasy, and the watery consistency can be quickly absorbed by the skin.

How To Use

The pad is extremely easy and convenient to use. Simply wipe your face gently with the embossed side of the pad in an outwards motion, then repeat this action using the softer side of the pad. Do not rub too hard as doing so might irritate your skin. After that, lightly pat the remaining toner into your skin to enhance absorption.

The pad can be use up to twice a day after cleansing. However, it is recommended that you use it once a day or twice a week if your skin is sensitive. You may also use it as a substitute for your toner and also store it in the fridge to make cooling pads. However,  please avoid direct sunlight and high temperature.

Also, please note that pregnant women are not recommended to use this product as it contains Salicylic acid. Other than than, this product is suitable for all skin types. However, I would recommend this to people with oily and acne prone skin since it helps to regulate sebum production and keep the pores clean. Weill I repurchase this product again? Well, probably, but definitely a yes if this is not so pricey. It is not easily to find this product here in Malaysia too. You can get this product from Shopee or Lazada.
