During our trip to Lang Tengah, we decided to do an one night stopover in Kuala Terengganu before heading to the island the next day. We spent a night at Arena Boutique Hotel, a relatively new 3-star hotel that is located about 5 mins drive away from Chinatown (or Kampung Cina). The reason why we chose to stay at this hotel was because it is new, cheap and conveniently located. We paid about RM 80 for a night stay at a Superior Queen room.

Measuring 20 square meters, the Superior Queen room was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. Fitted with wooden flooring, the room comes with a large king sized bed, individually controlled air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, a working desk and ensuite bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept really well at night.

Furniture are kept to a minimum to allow maximum use of space. There was no closet in the room, but it is not really important for us since we never use it every time. Instead, you will find an open space with hangers and hooks on a wall where you can hang your clothes. There was also plenty of space on the floor for us to open our luggage.

Other in room amenities include a flat screen TV with cable channels, ample power outlets, USB charging sockets and complimentary high speed internet access.

Basic coffee and tea making facilities and two complimentary bottled water are provided in the room as well.

I love the minimalist bathroom! It was beautifully simplistic and delightfully spacious. The simple white and soft grey tiles with contrasting black fixtures gives the bathroom a clean and crisp feel.

A large partial floor to ceiling glass wall separates the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. Only basic toiletries like shower gel, hair shampoo and toilet paper are provided in the bathroom. But this was not really an issue for me since I usually bring my own essential toiletries whenever I travel. There is a hair dryer provided in the bathroom as well.

Other facilities at the hotel includes a business center with copying and faxing services, a fitness center and dry cleaning services. There is a water dispenser in the business center where you can refill your empty bottles. Guests who drive can also park their cars at the large parking space located behind the hotel for free.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. In fact, it has exceeded our expectations for the price we paid. I would really recommend anyone visiting Kuala Terengganu to stay here.
