Remember the Hanskin Real Complexion Hyaluron Essence that I received from Tandle Love Beauty E-Store for review some time back? Other than that, I also received the Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream from them, which is equally amazing as well.

I have read dozens of raving reviews about this cream online but I have never thought of trying it. The main reason is the entire website is written in Korean and I could not find much information about it anywhere. Furthermore, there are not many online stores that carry this product, so it is not easy to get my hand on the cream. So, when Tandle Love asked me whether I would like to try the Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream out, I am more than happy to do so.

About The Cream
The Beauty Of Joseon Dynasty Dynasty Cream (also known as Joseon Beauty Cream) is a luxury skincare cream infused with Hanbang, which is traditional Korean herbal medicine. It consists of premium natural ingredients such as Korean ginseng, honey and orchid extract that are known to be used by top 1% of the upper class in Joseon Dynasty.

Claims

The Dynasty cream claims to provide the skin with hydration and nourishment. It is rich in high quality nutrients that will helps to strength the skin moisture barrier so the skin stay hydrated for longer hours.

Other than that, it also contains several ingredients which are known to have anti-aging benefits, such as Niacinamide, Adenosine, Ceramide 3 and Vitamin E. These ingredients are clinically proven to help brighten, firms and improve elasticity of the skin. It is effective in reducing the appearance of  wrinkles and fine lines and fading marks and scars. All in all, this is an all-in-one moisturizer that help hydrate, protect and revitalize skin all at once.

Packaging

The Dynasty cream comes in a frosted glass jar with a silver screw cap that is wrapped with an origami paper and tied with a string, containing 50 ml of the product. The packaging is luxurious and have an authentic look of the Joseon dynasty. It looks great on your vanity table.

The glass jar is surprisingly sturdy and durable. I accidentally dropped the cream once and it did not even crack at all.  However, I find it not so travel friendly because it is a little too heavy.

The good thing is it comes with a plastic spatula that helps keep the product hygienic. But I usually just dig my fingers into the cream instead of using the spatula provided. Yes, I know it is unhygenic to do so, but well, I am just being lazy.

Texture
The cream itself is thick and white and the texture is unique and intriguing. I have not tried anything like this before. The cream looks and feels like thick white glue.

It is bouncy and stretchy, somewhat similar to snail cream, even though there is no such ingredient in the formula. It looks just like any other creams, but once you rub with your fingers, it feels like gel consistency.

The Application

Despite its richness, it is easy to spread and does not make my skin feels oily or sticky after application (do not apply too much). However, it does take time to get absorbed by the skin fully. I was worried that the richness of the cream might break me up, but luckily, it did not. The cream is
very nourishing and moisturizing without being heavy. My skin feels amazingly soft and smooth to the touch after application. leaving it with a dewy and bouncy finish.

However, I am not sure whether this cream will help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines because I do not have any at my age. I did not notice any whitening or brightening effect at all, but it does help to fade the marks and scars on my face slightly.

Smell

The cream is free from parabens, sulfates and alcohol. But unfortunately, it is not fragrance free and might not be suitable for people with sensitive skin. It has a mild floral scent. The scent is very gentle and does not linger. I actually like the scent but my husband finds it a little too overpowering.

Conclusion

The Dynasty cream can be used as a night cream, massage cream or sleeping mask. I use this as the last step of my skin care routine, after the Hanskin Real Complexion Hyaluron Essence. It works great for my combination skin as it provide long lasting moisture.

The price is a little on the higher side for such a small jar, but a little really goes a long way. A pea size of it is enough for my entire face and neck area and it took me about 3 to 4 months to finish an entire jar. Do not apply too much because it might become too sticky, heavy and greasy on the skin.

The only downside is that it is not readily available to purchase in the market. There are very few online stores where you can buy this product. Tandle Love Beauty E-Store was selling this at SGD 23.90 on their website, but unfortunately, it went out of stock recently. I bought another jar from Althea Malaysia at RM 64. It was slightly cheaper, but you have to buy at least two items to get free shipping.

Even so, you might still want to check out  Tandle Love Beauty E-Store for some of the other good quality beauty products they offer. Shipping is currently FREE to both Singapore and Malaysia!
