I visited the historical city of Melaka with my colleagues last weekend for a company event. For our trip to Melaka this time, we stayed at Hotel Equatorial Melaka for a night.
Hotel Equatorial Melaka
Hotel Equatorial Melaka is a 5-star hotel ideally located in the heart of historical district, within walking distance to famous historical sites like A'Formosa and St Paul's Hill, as well as the popular Jonker Street and the award winning shopping complex - Mahkota Parade, Hatten Square and Dataran Pahlawan Mall.
The 22-storey international business hotel offers a choice of 496 air-conditioned and well-appointed rooms and suites with spacious interiors and modern furnishings.
In addition to that, Hotel Equatorial Melaka boasts the largest ballroom in Melaka, with the ability to accommodate up to 1350 seating for a sit down dinner or 2000 guests in theatre style seating. All function and meeting rooms are equipped with latest audio visual equipment to impress and enhance any event.
The beds were very clean and so comfortable that we fell asleep as soon as our head hit the fluffy pillows. They were perhaps the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on in my life! I wish I have one of these beds at home.
The hotel has implemented a "Go Green Programme" to help preserve the Earth's natural beauty and resources. Please place the "Go Green" tag on the bed if you wish to do your part in helping the hotel to reduce the use of water and energy
Our room features a small seating area with 2 armchairs and a round coffee table
Other room features include a flat-screen LCD TV with satellite channels and free in-house movies. Free unlimited WiFi is also available throughout the entire property
We had an interconnecting room where two rooms are connected by a connecting door in between them, which allowed access to each room without using the public corridor. Each of the room has a separate entrance and en-suite bathroom, offering absolute privacy when the connecting doors are locked.
Other room amenities also includes in-room safe box, bathrobes, slippers, iron and ironing board.
The bathroom was spacious and beautifully furnished with a granite counter top.
I love the towels very much. They were thick, soft and very absorbent. But most importantly, they were clean and bright white.
Oasis-On-The-Fourth
We had our dinner served at the Oasis-On-The-Fourth, an open-air pool bar located on the fourth floor of the hotel.
Overall, we have a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Equatorial Melaka. The hotel staffs were very friendly and would always greet us with a smile whenever they see us.
I would definitely recommend Hotel Equatorial Melaka to anyone who is looking for a quality accommodation in an easily accessible, convenient location in Melaka, at a relatively affordable price.

ReplyDeleteMelaka is a very nice place but the traffic is really bad. I hope the state government can do something to improve the traffic problem.
