On 23th March 2015, we lost one of our greatest leaders, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Although I respected him, I did not feel grief or sorrow. I did not mourn for his death because I did not know this man personally. But still, I thanked him from deepest of my heart for his immense contribution and hard work in building Singapore - a country that I used to be proud to call my home.
It was sad and disappointing that many things had changed since he stepped down in Year 1990. From good to worst. It is true that Singapore prospered to a rich and stable nation. But what followed by was social individualism, materialism and elitism. I lost my love for Singapore, eventually leading me to leave for Malaysia.
Even so, I am still thankful that because of this man, I am given an opportunity to be educated and a safe and peaceful place to live in. Without him, there will be no Singapore.
Just sharing the last few photos I have managed to capture before I left Singapore. My parents-in-law and sister-in-law specially traveled to Singapore to help my husband and I move every of our belongings to Kuala Lumpur. So, we took the opportunity to show them around Singapore, finally ending our 3 days 2 nights tour at Marina Bay Sands. These were our last printed memories in Singapore.
