[Sponsored] Say I Love You With A Fresh Bloom From A Better Florist

Official Website: A Better Florist

Flowers are a beautiful and perfect gift for any time of year, and for any occasion. There is no better way to express your love and appreciation for someone than sending flowers. It is just the perfect way to say "I love you".

I have recently been contacted by A Better Florist, looking to feature their online flower delivery service on my blog. After a quick browse through their website, I find myself falling in love with the beautiful and impressive flower arrangements on offer. So I agreed immediately and since I am currently residing in Malaysia, I specially requested to have the flower arrangement of my choice sent to my best friend in Singapore instead.

For those who do not know, A Better Florist is a Singapore-based e-commerce flower delivery startup founded by Steve Feiner, an ex googler with an aim to provide a better flower delivery service. The company believes that sending and receiving flowers should be easy, affordable and beautiful.

They believed that no matter where your recipient is, you can celebrate any occasion with fresh flowers from A Better Florist. Regardless of the distance and destination, A Better Florist will allow you to express your love and appreciation to the loved one, even if you are not there physically.

The company offers the freshest flowers at a fairly affordable price. All their flowers are grown and shipped directly from farms from Cameron Highlands daily. Every bloom is nurtured with love and care before it is ready to be picked. Only the most beautiful blooms will be picked and used in your favorite bouquets. As a result, the flowers are just 2 to 4 days old when they reached the customers, and will not wilt so quickly.

Limited Selection

Unlike other florists in Singapore, A Better Florist only offers a limited selections of three types of flower arrangements for customers to choose from - from flower bouquets and arrangements, to beautiful bundles and fruit baskets. This has helped to make the selection process easier and less stressful, which also ensured the quality and freshness of the flower arrangement.

The Signature Bloom

The Signature Bloom includes a beautiful combinations of the freshest flowers of the season. Each bouquet is handcrafted, thoughtfully designed and instagram-ready. The Signature Bloom features the Allision, the Emilia, the Lilah and the Julianne.

The Farmer's Choice

The Farmer's Choice includes seasonal blooms that are sourced straight from the farm. Featuring the Spring Breeze, the Ayla, the Keira and the Hayden.

The Bundles

The Bundles are carefully crafted combos that are perfect for co-workers and best friends. Featuring the Prince Charming Bundle, the Blissful Bundle, the Wonderland Bundle and the Sugar Rush.

Other than that, A Better Florist is able to customize a fresh flower arrangement to suit almost all other occasions, including weddings, anniversaries and birthdays, depending on your specific needs.

I have chosen to send my friend the Lilah from the Signature Bloom, but unfortunately, due to some miscommunication on their side, my friend received the Keira from Farmer's Choice instead. To be honest, I was feeling a little unhappy and disappointed with their service when my friend told me she received the Keira instead of the Lilah. So I immediately emailed A Better Florist, hoping to get an explanation for this.

Their reply was prompt, and they admitted and apologised for the mistake they made and I gladly accepted their apology. They actually insisted sending my friend the right bouquet to make up for their mistake even though I said it's ok and they do not need to. I am really impressed with their fast response and excellent customer service.

The Keira consists of fresh lilies, roses and ammi majus. The gorgeous blooms arrive wrapped in their signature rustic burlap with silk ribbon, and comes with a handwritten card, containing my personal messages, as well as a flower care instruction card and flower food.

Please follow the instruction card to prolong the life span of the flowers, which arrived wrapped in a water absorbent sponge to keep them fresh.

Just as they promised, my friend received the Lilah a few days later. The Lilah comes in a glass vase as pictured, which makes it perfect for any table decorations.

The Lilah consists of fresh bright blooms with starburst pincushion. It is absolutely gorgeous! Just like the Keira, or in fact, every bouquet from A Better Florist will come with both the handwritten card and flower care instruction card. I really appreciate that little extra effort the company puts in to make every customer's experience a special one.

My Thoughts

I never like flowers because I think they are expensive and wilt quickly. But I would not deny that they will not only brighten and add a splash of colors to the house, but also a great way to express your love and appreciation to your loved one.

Whether it is Mother's day, Valentine day, birthday or any other special occasion, A Better Florist has got you covered. The company offers the easiest and most convenient way to send flowers and makes for perfect last minute gifts idea.

With just a few simple clicks, you can send an arrangement of beautiful flowers to anyone, anywhere in Singapore on the same day at no extra charge, provided if you order before 3 pm.  All your gifts will be hand delivered by the professional A Better Florist courier team by car or motorbike to ensure timely delivery.

Free same day delivery is available from 9 am to 6 pm every day of the week. You can pick the most convenient time slot to have the flowers delivered to your loved ones. Did you suddenly remember a special occasion and last minute flowers? Don't worry, A Better Florist also offers an express 90 minutes delivery, ensuring the flowers will reach the intended recipient on the same day. Unfortunately, the only downside is they do not allow you to choose a specific delivery time.

Overall, I am deeply impressed by the high quality customer service and freshness of the flowers from A Better Florist. Apparently, the company has placed customer satisfaction as a top priority. and is always trying their best to make every of their customer happy. If you are a flower enthusiast, I believe you will love what A Better Florist has to offer!

No monetary compensation was received for this review and all opinions expressed were my own. Thank you A Better Florist for offering such great opportunity to show my love and appreciation to my friend!

A Collective Online Beauty Haul For May & June 2017

I have been an avid fan of online shopping for years, and I love to shop and order online more than traditional shopping. Online shopping has become my most preferred way to make purchases because it is more convenient and time saving.

I find that I usually get cheaper deals and better prices from online stores because products come directly from the manufacturer or seller. Online stores do not have overhead to deal with so they can pass on the saving to their customers. Besides that, I can also compare product prices from different online retailers easily, and have all my orders deliver right to my doorsteps.

I don't usually post about my shopping haul, but I think it might be a good idea to share some of my purchases from time to time. In this post, I will be sharing my collective beauty haul for the month of May and June. Some of them were on my wish list for a long time, and some were just impromptu purchases.

Cocomo Budget Premium Hair Curler (Straight or Volume Curl)

Price: SGD 30

Recently, my friend introduced to a hair curler from Cocomo, a Singapore based e-commerce company affiliated to the Banobagi Medical Group, South Korea. The company is founded by a team of makeup and beauty veterans with years of experience in the Kpop industry, who aim to bring the best of Korean beauty to Singapore women.

The Budget Premium Hair Curler is Cocomo's first own brand product, and is only available for purchase in Singapore. I fell so deeply in love with this hair curler after using it, and decided to buy it from their online store on Q0010 Singapore.

I have waited for almost a month for this product to arrive because the hair curler was so popular that it went completely out of stock. The product is shipped directly from Korea to Singapore and from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. As a result, it took slightly over a week to reach me. But customer service was excellent with constant updates. A complimentary hair mask was also included to compensate for the delay.

I have flat and ultra-fine hair with dry and frizzy ends. The dryness is due to the regular hair rebonding treatment I do to straighten my curly hair. Even so, my hair still tend to curl out at the ends, often with weird pieces sticking out.

Cocomo's hair curler is equipped with ceramic plates that heats up quickly, which allows fast styling, and glides on my hair smoothly. It leaves my hair feeling very smooth and soft while adding a plenty of volume without making my hair dry.

I have tried quite a few brands of hair straightener that are available in the market. But none of them gave me the same amazing result as this hair curler from Cocomo. It has helped me to achieve straight frizz free hair that I am always looking for. Furthermore, the result is pretty long lasting.

The hair curler comes with a 360 degree rotating cord that prevent the cord from getting tangled. I can style my hair easily from any angle without having to worry about tangled cord.

Lancome L'Absolu Rouge Lipstick

Price: RM 110

I have been wanting to try out the Lancome L'Absolu Rouge range of lipsticks for a while now, but was hesitant to spend so much money on a lipstick. So I made myself to wait for a month in order to prevent impulse buying. But after a month, I still strongly want to make the purchase, so I finally decided to splurge a little on something that I really love.

I bought this from Sephora Malaysia. All products are ship directly from Singapore using Aramex/Singpost to Malaysia. Shipping is free for all orders above RM 80.

The lipstick is available in 44 elegant shades - from nudes, plums, pink to bright reds and 3 finishes - sheer, cream or matte. Its wide range of options mean that there is always something for everyone, every occasion, and every look.

With 44 options available, I have a really difficult time choosing which one to buy. After browsing through the website for hours, I finally decided to buy the 377 O Oui! for RM 110. This is also the color picked by my husband. He will always choose pink instead of red everytime I asked for advice. Priced at RM 110, this is currently the most expensive lipstick I have ever bought.

I love the packaging. It is sleek and luxurious. The lipstick comes in a black lacquered case with a click-to-open case featuring Lancome signature gold rose. The packaging is secure and yet, easy to open for your convenience. Just press the rose emblem on the top of the case and it will pops right open for you.

The Lancome L'Absolu Rouge 377 O Oui! is a beautiful rose petal pink cream lipstick. It is softly scented and smell slightly sweet.

I have not tried the lipstick yet. But Lancome has claimed that this is an ultra-luxurious and hydrating that is suitable for all day wear. The L'Absolu Rouge lipstick is enriched with antioxidant rich vitamin E and moisture boosting Pro-Xyalne TM that will never dry your lips out. I could not wait to wear this beautiful pink on my lips now!

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam

Price: RM 24

I am running out of my facial cleanser and I thought it might be good to try another brand, so being a huge fan of Innisfree, I bought the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam from Hermo Malaysia. This was an impromptu purchase.

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam comes in a cream colored tube containing 150 ml of the product. It is formulated with Jeju Volcanic scoria that absorb excess serum and purify the clogged pores, making it suitable for people with combination or oily skin.

The cleanser is very soft, has a semi-thick consistency and contains exfoliating beads that gently exfoliate the dead and dull skin. After washing, it gives my skin a fresh and clean feel without over drying it.

Laneige Multi-Cleanser

Price: RM 15

I also purchased a travel-size Laneige Multi-Cleanser from Hermo Malaysia as well. The travel-size packaging contains 30 ml of the product. The reason why I bought the travel-size packaging is because it just makes traveling easier, plus it was on sale! Furthermore, I have never used any products from Laneige before, and I thought it would be good to try this facial cleanser this time. Thus the travel size will be ideal for trying this product out before committing to the full size.

The 4-in-1 cleanser that claims to remove makeup, remove sunscreen, exfoliates and cleanse. Formulated with mild plant based cleansing ingredient, and papain enzymes (extracted from Papaya fruit), the cleanser contains fine micro beads that will help to exfoliate and leave skin feeling fresh and clean. The micro beads are gentle that can be use everyday.

This cleanser might be too drying for people with dry skin, but it is great for people with combination or oily skin. Also, I don't trust this facial cleanser to remove all my makeup. But I believe this will able to remove light makeup.

Shiseido The Hair Care Aqua Intensive Shampoo and Treatment 2 - Moist Feel

Price: RM 90 (250 ml) | RM 110.70 (250g) (before discount)

Since I rebond my hair regularly, the ends get really dry while my scalp is oily.  I am picky about the shampoos and conditioners I use because not all products work well for my oily scalp and extremely fine hair. A shampoo and hair conditioner that would cleanse my scalp well, care for my locks and make my hair smell irresistible throughout the day.

Just a few months ago, my hair stylist introduced me to the Shiseido Aqua Intensive shampoo and treatment while I was doing my usual rebonding treatment at his salon. The Shiseido Aqua Intensive line is specifically targeted at frizzy, dry and chemically treated hair. I bought both the shampoo and treatment from Lazada with a discount voucher. It is so much cheaper than buying it from a salon.

The Shiseido Aqua Intensive shampoo remove impurities selectively without stripping the moisture from your hair. My hair feels incredibly soft and lustrous after using it. The shampoo prevents damage and dryness while cleansing your hair thoroughly. However, for people with oily scalp, I will not recommend using this shampoo everyday. It does not help to control itchiness and oil secretion of the scalp.

The Shiseido Aqua Intensive treatment 2 infused hair with intense moisture and locks it in, keeping them healthy looking. My hair feels incredibly smooth and soft after application.

I love the smell of the Aqua Intensive line. It is heavenly, which makes me look forward to using it every single day. For people with hair that is fizzy and difficult to manage, you might want to give these two products a shot. I believe it will not disappoint you.

My purchases also came with a free Shiseido Sleekliner shampoo and conditioner sample. The Sleekliner line is targeted at frizzy, tangled and unruly hair. I am excited to try this out too!

Bio Top Fit Hot & Cold Cream

Price: RM 350 (3 Bottles)

I bought the 3rd generation Bio Top Fit Hot & Cold Cream from a seller from Facebook. I have been a long-time user of the Bio Top slimming cream for years now, and have used both the 1st and 2nd generation.

The reason why I keep repurchasing this is because I find it helps to firm and smooth my skin. The brand new Bio Top Fit is formulated with natural high quality ingredients with 3 new exquisite ingredients added - lemongrass extract, ginger extract and mint, and helps to burn and eliminates fat cells, detoxify and beautify your skin.

I have been using this cream for more than two weeks now, and have already noticed significant results. It has help to reduce cellulite around my thigh area and to tone my tummy and arms areas. The cream is non greasy and can be absorbed into my skin easily.

The newly added lemongrass not only helps to remove gas from the intestine, but also acts as a great insect repellent, preventing bites from mosquitoes.  The ginger extract will help to remove "wind" from the body, which is great for women who have just give birth. Besides that, it is also effective in reducing swelling, backaches and stretchmarks.

Massage the cream onto the areas you want to get slim. I would recommend wearing a plastic glove because the cream is really hot. It gives you a cooling sensation once applied, but you will start to feel a burning sensation after a few minutes. I love the burning sensation because it feels as though my fats are being burned away.

Bio Bright Perfect Shaping Ice Gel

My purchase came with a free Bio Bright Perfect Shaping Ice Gel. Honestly, I do not love this ice gel as much as I love the Bio Top Fit. I find this product a little hassle to apply. You are required to wash the gel off right after application. As such, I usually use this while in the shower.

Once you have washed the gel off your skin, you will feel a cooling sensation. It is cold and I do not like spending extra time in the shower just to apply this. Furthermore, the result is not noticeable.

Be sure to follow me on Facebook or Twitter  for any latest updates on my blog. So stay tuned!

[Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2017] A Weekend Filled With Great Food & Laughter

Last month, my best friend decided to visit me in KL again. It has been almost three months since we last seen each other.

As usual, she booked us a fully furnished 3-room apartment in the heart of KL through Airbnb. The apartment is located just right behind Sunway Putra Mall, a short walk away from PWTC LRT station and Putra Komuter.

Upon arrival, the owner, Nai came over to pass us the key and show us around the apartment. He has been waiting for our arrival since 3 pm, but we only managed to reach the apartment at 8 pm because my friend lost her way again and ended up getting stuck in the peak hour traffic jam.

The apartment was spacious, so much larger than we expected, and is fully equipped with everything that you will possibly need for a comfortable stay. Modernly furnished, the apartment features a large living room, an open plan kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a view of the KLCC Twin Towers.

The living room comes with a 3-seater L shaped sofa, a coffee table and a TV.  High speed Wifi is provided in the apartment as well. The kitchen is well-equipped with a refrigerator, electric hob and hoob, microwave, cookware and utensils for simple cooking. There are also a washing machine and a dryer in the apartment.

The master bedroom comes with a king-sized bed, large built in wardrobe, dressing table and a couch. With 3 bedrooms, the apartment can accommodate up to 8 people.

The spacious master bedroom bathroom comes with a spacious bathtub and double sink vanities. Body soap and shampoo are provided, as well as bath towels.

Overall, we have an enjoyable experience staying at Nai's apartment. Nai is very friendly and patient and is always available to help us whenever we needed help. He even gave us his access card so that we could park our rented car in the apartment's car park.

The next morning, we decided to head to the pool to take some photos for my backpack sponsorship and was happy to find the entire place almost empty.

We made use of this opportunity to take a couple of photos together as well.

For this trip, we did not have any plans, so we decided to spend our all our time cafe/restaurants hopping around the city. There are many good cafes and restaurants in the city that are worth visiting, and with so many choices, it can be hard to pick which one to go. Below are the cafes and restaurants we decided to visit after reading some reviews online.

Jam & Kaya Cafe

Nestled within Palms Sports Center in Petaling Jaya, you will find Jam & Kaya Cafe, a hidden gem that is particularly popular with brunch lovers and cafe hoppers. Located just a 5-minutes stroll away from Taman Jaya LRT Station, the cafe is open from 10 am to 7 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 6 pm on weekends, but is closed on Monday.

The exterior of the cafe is a quaint white cottage, surrounded by palm trees and overlooks the Palms Sports Center's swimming pool.

The interior is bright and spacious, featuring large windows and wooden furnishings. The large windows offers plenty of natural lights which is perfect for photography while the wooden furnitures create a warm and homely ambience.

The cafe was almost empty when we arrived on a Friday morning, so we get to choose wherever we would like to sit. We chose a table that can seat 4 people right by the windows.

The cafe was very cozy and quiet and staffs were very friendly, which makes it a great place to sit back, relax and spend some quality time with your loved ones.

The cafe serves simple yet delicious all-day breakfasts, as well as an array of pasta, fish and chips and homemade cakes and pastries.

Eggs Benedict
Price: RM 18

The Eggs Benedict features perfectly poached eggs and greens over freshly baked croissant with some hollandaise sauce. This is a very simple yet delicious dish everyone will love. I love the poached egg very much. The runny yolk surrounded with creamy white is a perfect complement to the croissant.

Signature Jam & Kaya Pancakes

Price: RM 16

The Signature Jam & Kaya Pancakes is the specialty of  Jam & Kaya. Stacked pancakes with Jam and Kaya spread, maple syrup, fresh strawberries and blueberries topped with a generous scoop of Vanilla ice cream. The pancake is light and fluffy and the thinly sliced strawberries and blueberry offers a delicious balance of acidity and sweetness to the dish. It was a delight to eat - not overly sweet, which is great for a breakfast treat.

Earl Grey Tea

Price: RM 10.50

Hot Yuzu Tea

Price: RM 8.80

Jam & Kaya is one of my favorite cafe in Kl. The cafe serves insta-worthy yet delicious food in a nice environment. I will recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant cafe with good food to relax and chill.

After spending a few hours chatting at Jam & Kaya cafe, we decided to visit the newly opened MyTown shopping mall in Cheras to do some shopping.

Feeling hungry, we decided to have a super late lunch at Mytown's food court. We had Teppanyaki and had our food cooked right before us.

MyKori Dessert Cafe

No matter how much you eat, there is always room for desserts. After lunch, we decided to visit MyKori Dessert Cafe for some dessert. The cafe have several outlets in KL and we visited the one located in Old Klang Road.

MyKori Dessert Cafe specialize in Japanese desserts and snacks. It is open from 2.00 pm to 11.00 pm on weekdays and 1.00 pm to 11.00 on weekends. Please note that the cafe is closed on Monday.

Melon Kakigori

Price: RM 26

We ordered the Melon Kakigori, which is one of the best seller of the cafe. For those who do not know, Kakigori is a Japanese shaved ice dessert flavored with condensed milk or a sweetener. The Melon Kakigori is made from Rock Melon where the melon is cut into half, hollowed and filled with condensed milk shaved ice topped with freshly scooped melon balls and almond pieces.

This pretty and instagram-worthy dessert that will satisfy your sweet tooth. The taste is very refreshing and not overly sweet, just perfect for a hot humid day.

Zen & Co Cafe

After dessert, we visited Zen & Co Cafe, a Japanese fusion and coffee cafe located at Taman Gembira for dinner. The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and specializes in both Japanese and western cuisines. It is open from 11.30 am to 10 pm on weekdays and 10 am to 10 pm on weekend. Please note that it is closed on Tuesday.

The cafe was packed with people during dinner hours, but we were lucky to get a seat. Even though the cafe was busy, service was very prompt. We were seated immediately upon being seated.

California Dream

Price: RM 7

We ordered California Dream, which is seaweed rolls with fish egg, crabstick, cucumber and sweet egg. It was delicious, even though I am not really a fan of fish egg.

Yasai Croquette

Price: RM 8

Yasai Croquette, this is basically just fried potato served with vegetables.

Tomato Salsa Chicken

Price: RM 19

My most favorite dish was the Tomato Salsa Chicken. Deep fried boneless chicken chop served with tomato salsa sauce, salad, mash potato and potato wedges. So delicious and filling!

Overall, food was delicious and price was reasonable, considering the huge serving size. In the end, we could not finish most of the food that we ordered because we did not expect the serving size to be so big. It was such a waste.

Blackwood Cafe

My husband decided to join us on the second day. After picking him up from home, we went to Blackwood Cafe for lunch.

Located in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Blackwood Cafe is open from 12 pm to 10.30 pm on Sunday to Thurday and 12 pm to 12 am on Friday and Saturday, but is closed on Tuesday.

The cafe was empty when we arrived on saturday noon. In fact, we were the only group of customers in the cafe during the few hours we were there.

Spacious and neat, the cafe has a very welcoming and homely ambience, making it a great place to relax and hang out with friends.

Blackwood Cafe serves a range of main course, desserts and beverages. For beverage, the cafe serves coffee, chocolate, flower tea, frapp, smoothies, soda, steam milk and tea. For desserts, they have puffle and waffle. For main course, pasta, rice, side dishes and toastee.

Creamy Tomato Pasta
I ordered the Creamy Tomato Pasta with chicken ham, mushroom, onions, Oregano leaves. I find this a little bland and unimpressive.

Energetic Hamee
Both my husband and my friend ordered Energetic Hamee. This is toast with ham and egg, veggie, tomato, cheese and mayonnaise. I actually prefer this to the Creamy Tomato Pasta.

Overall, I was not impressed by the food. The serving size was a little small for the price we paid.

Kakigori Cafe

For dessert, we visited Kakigori Cafe located in Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya, about 10 minutes drive from Blackwood Cafe.

Kakigori Cafe is a delightful cafe furnished in white. The interior decor is simple with some flimsy tables and chairs that can get fairly uncomfortable to sit on. At the back of the cafe, you will find a red brick wall and a little garden which create a warm and fascinating focal point in the predominately white space.

The cafe is usually packed with a long queue waiting to be seated. It does get a little noisy, making it not an ideal place to relax and hang out with friends.

The cafe offers 10 types of Kakigori, each different and unique to suit your palate. Service is pretty much non-existent. Everything is self service. You will need to order and pay at the counter. Once done, you will be given an ordering number. Wait for your number to be called on the electric board. You will need to self collect your order from an open wooden shelves at the seating area. Once you have finish eating, you are required to return the tray and empty bowls to the return counter.

Warabi mochi

Price: RM 14

This chilled chewy, jelly-like mochi is made fresh everyday, and is dusted with either matcha or Kinako powder, served with a cup of sugar syrup. We ordered both flavors, and we prefer the matcha one.

Unlike typical mochi that is made from glutinous rice, Warabi mochi is made from warabi starch or bracken starch. The texture of Warabi mochi is more jelly-like and chewy without being tough. It does not have any flavors. The only taste comes from the sweet matcha or Kinako powder on the mochi.

Strawberry & Chocolate Kakigori

Price: RM 19

We also ordered Strawberry & Chocolate Kakigori. This is basically shaved ice blanketed with strawberry puree topped with chocolate puree, almond chips and fresh strawberry. The Kakigori is naturally pink, so pretty and instagram-worthy.

Serving size was larger than we expected, but the distribution of the strawberry puree was uneven. The shaved ice was very bland, almost tasteless. Well, I am not a fan of sweet dessert, but this was very disappointing. It is really not worth paying RM 19 for this.

Shell Out Seafood Restaurant

For dinner, we decided to visit Shell Out Seafood Restaurant for a seafood feast. The restaurant has several branches in KL and we visited the one at Publika Mall. Open from 12 pm to 10 pm daily, the restaurant serves authentic Louisiana Cajun style seafood that will delight all seafood lovers.

The restaurant has a nautical theme decor with fishing net and life buoy hanging across the wall.

On the windows, walls and tables, it is full of colorful doodles. Customers are encouraged to ask one of the friendly staffs for a marker pen to scribble their own doodles anywhere they like.

To order, there are three simple steps to follow:

Step one: What's your catch?
Pick from a selection of seafood you would like.

Step two: Pick your sensation
You can choose the sauce of your choice to enrich your seafood. There are five different sauces for you to choose from - Butter Garlic, Lemon Pepper, Shell Bang, Curry and Black Pepper

Step Three: Spice up
You can choose the level of spiciness. The restaurant offers 3 levels of spiciness - mild, medium and O.M.G!!!

We ordered Combo A, which includes a large sized crab. 10 pieces of prawns, 500g of Lala, half broccoli, 2 pieces of corn, potatoes, 2 bowls of rice and 1 set of sweet potato fries at RM 189.90. Being a fan of scallops, I added 250g scallops. We also upgraded the crab to extra large (XL).

For sauce, we chose the highly recommended Shell bang sauce, which is a mix of lemon pepper and butter garlic. We chose mild for our level of spiciness but regretted because it was not spicy enough.

Unlike most other seafood restaurants, Shell out offers an entirely different dining experience. This is where you will get to enjoy sumptuous ocean delights without any eating utensils. There will be no spoons or plates provided. You are expected to enjoy a pile of seafood straight from the table with your bare hands. So, remember to wash your hands clean before you dig in!

Once we made our order, we were given plastic aprons that write "Life is too short to be serious. Let's Eat", and a big roll of kitchen towel. Minutes later, the staff came again and lined our table with a big white mahjong paper.

We did not wait long for our food to be served. The seafood are boiled and mixed well with the sauce of our choice. It came in a transparent plastic bag, which were then poured out right onto the mahjong paper on our table.

Although the seafood are best to be enjoyed with bare hands, we still asked for plastic gloves because we do not want to dirty our hands. Eating with our hands allow us to peel the shells of the crabs and shrimps easily and eat them. Yes, it is surely going to be a messy business, but I can ensure you that it is absolutely well-worth the mess because they were so freakingly delicious when you eat this way.

Sweet Potatoes Fries

The sweet potatoes fries are fried to a golden and crispy perfection. It is incredibly delicious!

The seafood was top quality and very fresh, but the highlight of the dish was the Shell Bang sauce, which helps to bring out the flavor of the dish very well.

Fresh Coconut

Price: RM 7.90

Overall, we have a very enjoyable dining experience at Shell out. I really love the food and concept. Service was good and prompt and staffs were generally very friendly. Serving size was also decent and the price was reasonable, though not cheap. The good thing is there are several combo sets for you to choose from to cater to your needs, plus you will get what you paid for. If you have not visited, I would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try. I believe it will not disappoint you.

Nadeje Cake House

After a satisfying seafood dinner, we went to Nadeje Cake House at Midvalley Megamall for some dessert. Nadeje Cake House is famous for their handmade mille crepes. We ordered both the original and mango yogurt flavors, but original will always be our favorite.

This was how we ended that night. After 4 days 3 nights, it was time to bade goodbye again. This time, we managed to give each other a hug. As always, I will miss her. Looking forward to see her soon again!
